All our guides possess in-depth knowledge of the environment, animals, and culture of Tanzanian. Additionally, they have strong English, German Spanish and Norwegian speaking, can drive with ease through a variety of challenging road and weather conditions and are proficient in vehicle maintenance should any minor issues (e.g. flat tire etc) occur. Lastly, our guides are responsible and resourceful individuals and we trust them with the overall safety, comfort and happiness of our clients.
Mapaka safaris vehicles are all comfortable, as well as durable, with 4-wheel-drive to manage a variety of road conditions. All our Safari vehicles are Toyota Land Cruiser 4X4s that are specially modified for safari with a pop-up roof and sliding windows, offering unrestricted viewing & optimal photographic opportunities. Lastly, they are well equipped for safari adventures complete with refrigerators, first aid kits, spare tires, road maps, and field guide books for mammals, birds, reptiles and plants of East Africa.
