The first easy day of riding so that you get in to control of the roads and your bike. This 55 Km take us to Lake Chala.
Lake Chala is a beautiful crater lake with located at the border of Tanzania and Kenya. Lake Chala is on the eastern edge of Mount Kilimanjaro, 8 kilometres north of Taveta and 55 kilometers from the town of Moshi. Depending on the time of the year, Lake Chala ranges in color from deep blue to turquoise and green.
The lake is fed by groundwater flows which come from Mount Kilimanjaro, fed and drained underground with a rate of about ten million cubic meters per year. It is surrounded by 100-meter-high crater rim. The lake is home to the endemic Lake Chala tilapia (Oreochromis hunteri) which is now considered critically endangered on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species.

After breakfast we start riding facing lake Jipe and North Pare Mountains. The train takes us from mystical Caldera Lake that borders Tanzania and Kenya on the Eastern Edge of Mount Kilimanjaro down to Lake Jipe, bordering Kenya on the eastern side.
The ride continues below the North Pare mountains while Lake Jipe still can be seen from the eastern side of your path. This pare region is full of vegetation, local activities, fishing and many things to see. After a beautiful day, we finally finish the day at Same town Elephant Motel for dinner and overnight. After breakfast start this beautiful long stretching trail to Simanjiro Kiteto, via Kijungu, Kitwai and many other small Maasai villages. This is one of the most amazing da, a mixture of acacias woodlands, the Maasai people and many more. The Maasai Steppe Conservancy is located between the Tarangire National Park and the Simanjiro Plains, within the Northern Safari Circuit. Safaris in the Maasai Steppe provide a wonderfully varied experience for people wanting a combination of wildlife viewing, walking, and authentic, “un-canned” cultural experiences with the Maasai.
