Cross farms growing banana, coffee and tomatoes along a meandering path to a beautiful water fall which is about 50 metres high, which descends from the Makoa River, meeting the larger Kikavu River further down the mountain. Both rivers are an important water source for local people and are used extensively for agriculture. From the water fall continue biking past Mshara Village to an excellent vantage point and enjoy the breathtaking views of two main peaks of Kilimanjaro, Kibo and Mawenzi peaks. There is also the opportunity to visit Kwansangare Primary school, which was started by the first missionary John Rehbman located by River Makoa. Continue along the river till you reach the tarmac road, crossing through banana and coffee farms, streams and local village houses to reach Uswaa village where you will overnight. There is 20 kilometres to cover which may take 3-4 hours with some extra time being spent for stops.
