An early start to get to Olmoti from where you will continue on your way heading to Empakai crater and hike into Empakai Crater with an armed ranger. There are no roads and no human inhabitants in the crater which contains forests and a deep lake, where flocks of flamingos can be spotted. 4 DAYS HIKING NGORONGORO HIGHLAND
NGORONGORO HIGHLANDS TOUR
The Ngorongoro Highlands are one of our favorite places in Tanzania to hike. This unique ‘off the beaten track’ location offers spectacular scenery through the Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area highlands, forest walks, mountains, craters, Maasailand and the Rift Valley. The scenery here cannot be compared with anywhere else in the world combined with the fact that these are quiet areas with mainly the local Maasai inhabitants who coexist with wildlife in harmony, making this must visit place for adventure travelers
